SOUTHAVEN — The funeral service for J.I. Lamb, 93, born Aug. 14, 1920 in Jancita, will be at 3 p.m. today at Shiloh Methodist Protestant Church in Shiloh Community. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Southaven and was a retired Army veteran serving during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He He was a Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart recipient. He leaves his wife of 71 years, Nita Lamb of Southaven; one brother, Donald Lamb of Memphis. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Local arrangements are in the care of Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven.
