WALLS — The funeral service for Carlos L. Mooney Jr., born Dec. 21, 1949 in New Orleans and died Jan. 6 peacefully at home will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hernando Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Sr. and Mattie; a stepfather, Claude Cain, his brother, Gary Mooney; brother-in-law, Bing Crosby. He leaves his wife, Betty Mooney; son, Sol Mooney of Florida; stepson, Jeff Brandon (Gabriela) of England; two stepdaughters, Judi Brandon of Hernando, Jodi Brandon of Southaven; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Kenneth Mooney (Cheryl) of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Donna Gorman (Rob) of Vacaville, Calif., Kay Smith (Paul) of Germantown, Tenn., Karen Crosby of Memphis and a host of nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
