ARKABUTLA — The funeral service for Bradley Robert Becker, 54, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Heartland Church in Southaven with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in Surrette Cemetery in Arkabutla. Becker died Jan. 16. He graduated from U.S. Naval Academy class of 1979 and served in Squadrons VP-5, H5-15 and VF174. His deployments were made on the USS Independence with decorations including Navy Unit Commendation and Meritorious Unit Commendation. After active duty, he served in the Naval Reserve in Millington, Tenn. while attending Mid American Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a MARE degree. He served on the staff at Colonial Hills Baptist Church for 11 years as Family Resource Counseling Pastor. He recently served as Adjunct Family Counselor for Heartland Church as well as Human Resources Manager for the Great American Home Store. He was a member of Senatobia Optimist Club and participated in many community events. He leaves his wife, Pamela Becker; daughters, Johanna Becker Pepper (Wesley) of Meridian, Jarah Becker DePriest (David) of Byhalia, Judith Becker and Julia Becker, both of Arkabutla; sons, Jeremy Becker (Hannah) of Starkville, Jordan Becker, Jonathan Becker, Joseph Becker, Joel Becker, all of Arkabutla; father, Robert Becker of New York, N.Y.; sister, Alison Becker of Pittsburg, Penn.; brothers, Russell Becker of Miami, Fla., Warren Becker of New York. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsa Becker. Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia has charge.
