SOUTHAVEN — The funeral service for Opaline Hill Brazil, 91, former key punch operator for Dover Elevator Company, born March 29, 1923 in Pontotoc, was Wednesday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with interment in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Brazil died April 21 at Baptist-DeSoto. She received her teaching certificate from Delta State, taught elementary school and was a member of First Baptist Church in Southaven. She leaves one son, Jerry M. Brazil (Barbara) of Olive Branch; one daughter, Janice B. Dahl (Bill) of Southaven; four grandchildren, Tina James (Chris), Jeff Brazil (Dana), Scott Brazil (Angie), and Bo Dahl; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland B. Brazil; parents, Rice and Opal Hill; and three brothers, Dalton Hill, Herbert Hill, and Delane Hill. The family requests that any memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Southaven.
