LAKE CORMORANT — The funeral service for Bill Pearson, 50, of Tunica, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Pearson was born Sept. 16, 1963 in Memphis and died June 12 at Baptist-DeSoto. He was a Baptist and the former coach of the Southaven Bulldogs, where he coached them to the World Series in St. Louis in the 90s. He was a Mississippi State fan. He loved hunting, fishing and watching the Bulldogs. He leaves his parents, Paul and Myrtis Pearson of Lake Cormorant, formerly of Tunica; one sister, Donna Garner of Hernando; two nephews, Tommy Garner (Magan) of Southaven and Michael Wayne Garner of Southaven; great-nephew, Dalton and great-niece, Graham. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Allen Garner.
