BYHALIA — The funeral service for Lillian Newsom, 81, will be at noon Saturday at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Byhalia with visitation starting at 11 a.m. at the church and from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Rodgers Funeral Home. Newsom died July 24. She leaves daughters, Mary Newsom of Byhalia, Patricia Newsom of Holly Springs; sons, Whitlen Newsom of Coldwater, Roosevelt Newsom of Byhalia, Leeaster Newsom of Memphis, Leon Newsom of Elksville, Ill., Richard Newsom of Byhalia, Calvin Newsom of Byhalia; sisters, Ruby Newsom of Coldwater, Diane Wilson of Byhalia, Flora Moore of Chicago, Ill., Ether Lee Jones of Byhalia; brothers, James Newsom of Byhalia; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandhcildren.
