HERNANDO — A graveside memorial service will be held next Saturday Aug. 23 at 5 p.m. in the Hernando Memorial Cemetery for Julia Banks Ready. She was the daughter of the late George and Louise Banks. Ready died Aug. 8 in Meridian. She had worked with her husband in his law office for many years. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her “Angel on Wheels.” She was active in her community and was included in Outstanding Young Women in America at one time. She was a member of Tri Delta Sorority at Old Miss. She attended Highland Baptist Church. She leaves her husband, William E. Ready; children, William Ready Jr., George B. Ready, Dean Harris; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty B. Guess of Oxford.
