HERNANDO — The funeral service for Elizabeth “Sister” McElroy Entrikin will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hernando Memorial Cemetery. Entrikin was born March 13 1927 in Hernando. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brooks Entrikin; parents, Dewitt and Alice (Savage) McElroy; sisters, Tommye Collier and Anne Davis; brothers, Thomas Dewitt McElroy Jr., Billy McElroy. She leaves her son, Brooks Entrikin (Rhonda); grandchildren, Cristin Franklin (Brock), MIchael Carmon (Larissa), Katie Kimball (Landon); five great-grandchildren, Clay, Jackson, Aiden, Emery, Killian; sisters, Nell Hanna, Rose McCammon, Sue Oakley; brother, Newton McElroy; numerous other family members. She worked for the State Welfare Department for 40 years; then Dillard’s and volunteered at Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Hernando United Methodist Church.
