Coldwater James Ray “Billy” Woods, 80, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Manna Baptist Church, 7805 Palestine Rd, Coldwater, where he was a member. The body will lie in state from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. Mr. Woods was a retired Desoto County employee. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Dorothy Woods; daughter, Debbie Kuhn (Tony) of Coldwater; sons, Ray Woods (Ginger) of Coldwater, Kenny Woods (Pam) of Hernando, Tony Woods (Lisa) of Coldwater; sisters, Shirley Linville of Olive Branch, Sarah Jones of Olive Branch, Patricia Edwards of Nashville, Tenn., Brenda Bieri of Benton, Ark., Helen Montgomery of Lake Cormorant, Connie Wages of Hernando, Paula West of Strayhorn; brothers, Lawrence Woods of Cherokee, Ala., Dudley Woods of Water Valley, Hollis Woods of Olive Branch, Bubba Woods of Independence; grandchildren, Brad Woods, Mark Woods, Richie St. Clair, Hunter Woods, Lauren Woods, Shelby Kuhn; great grandchildren, Nathan Woods, Savannah Woods, Emzy Woods, and Oliver Woods. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lee Woods. Hernando Funeral Home has charge.
