Hernando Robert Edward “Ed” Ferguson, 88, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hernando Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at a catered reception from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery – Midtown. Mr. Ferguson retired as a lieutenant from the Memphis Police Department with 25 years of service. He worked another 25 years for Crow’s Truck Service. He was a 32 degree Mason and Shriner. Ed loved fishing, NASCAR, his family, and telling stories. Survivors include his daughter, Paula Rhae Crow (Bruce) of Hernando; sons, Robert Ferguson, Jr. of Sarah, Scott Ferguson(Pam) of Southaven and Sloan Ferguson of Coldspring, Texas; brothers, Raymond Ferguson of Germantown, Tenn. and Gordon Ferguson of Parsons, Tenn.; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his longtime friend and companion, Nita Calamari. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Morgan Ferguson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 2900 N.
