Bettie Ann Ragsdale Stevenson

Olive Branch Bettie Ann Ragsdale Stevenson 79, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 18, 2015 after a short illness at DeSoto Healthcare in Southaven. Visitation will be held Wed. April 22, 2015 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch.  Services will be held on Thurs. April 23, at 2 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch.  Interment will follow at Blocker Cemetery in Olive Branch. Bettie was known to her family as Aunt BB, Hattie, sister and mom.  She will always be remembered for her never ending love, her caring and giving and her funny laugh.  Bettie was our hope, the joy and the sunshine of our lives.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mom and friend to all that knew her.  She loved life, her friends and family to the fullest.  Bettie was always there for each of us to share the good times and to give her love and support thru the sad times. Bettie was a lifelong resident of Olive Branch.  She retired after 37 years at Tri-State Mack in Memphis.  After her retirement Bettie’s love for people and work led her to a new career where she worked for the past seventeen years as the manager of Quality Inn in Southaven, where she became a part of their extended family whom she loved very much the Hari’s: Steve, Mina, Laxmi, Cayla, Aleena and Alec. Bettie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Bobby Gene Stevenson, father, W.L. Ragsdale and brother E.L. Ragsdale.  She leaves behind her loving mother Louise Ragsdale, brother Don Ragsdale (Karen), sister-in-law Margaret Ragsdale, all of Olive Branch and sister Mary Pate (Jim) of Salem, Va., as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials and contributions may be made to the West Clinic in Southaven.
