HERNANDO — The memorial service for Shirley Ann Ready Johnston, 76, will be at 10:30 a.m. June 30 at the First Baptist Church of Wilmer in Wilmer, Ala. and at 2 p.m. July 7 at The Red Banks United Methodist Church, 405 Yarborough Loop, Red Banks. Johnston died July 14. She devoted her life to caring for others at the V.A. Hospital and as Administrator of several elder care facilities and home health care facilities in Memphis. She leaves two sons, Van R. Johnston (Lynn) of Byhalia; Mark E. Johnston of Hernando; grandchildren, Kurstie, Sherman, Claire, Brandon and Olivia Johnston; one great granddaughter Adilynn Copeland; a sister, Beverly (Ken) Sheppard of Chattanooga, Tenn. and many relatives in her hometown of Wilmer. Forest Hill Funeral Home-East has charge.
