HERNANDO — The funeral service for Jack Broaddus, 69, will be today at 2 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Braddus died Dec. 19 at Baptist DeSoto. He was born December 20, 1941 in Paris, Tenn. to the late Carter and Neppie Broaddus and was a Baptist. He worked 15 years with the Illinois Central Railroad and in 1975 became a federal agent for the Interstate Commerce Commission, retiring in 1995. He leaves his wife of 28 years, Sonja K. Broaddus of Hernando; two daughters, Laurie Townsley (James Joseph Townsley of Cabot, Ark.) and Rhonda Anthony of North Little Rock, Ark.; one grandson, James Dalton Townsley; and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ann Broaddus. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
