HORN LAKE - The funeral service for Shirley Hidalgo, 71, homemaker and Roman Catholic, will be at 2 p.m. today at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with visitation starting at noon. Interment will be in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Hidalgo was born Oct. 17, 1941 and died March 18 at Baptist-DeSoto. She leaves her husband of 55 years, John Hidalgo of Horn Lake; one daughter, Sandy Hidalgo Avant of Horn Lake; two sons, Lorron Paul Hidalgo of Covington, La. and John Aaron Hidalgo Jr. of Cordova, Tenn.; two brothers, Lorron H. Earley of Azle, Texas and Jerry Earley of Savannah, Tenn.; two sisters, Misha Simmons of Henderson, Tenn. and Carolyn Waddel of Counce, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Tara, Nikki, Matt, Sarah, Meggan, Tyler, Waylon, John III, Stephanie, and Taylor; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Collin Hidalgo; one brother, Ben Earley; and two sisters, Janice Podell and Gwin Schriener.
