BYHALIA — The private memorial service for Lester Lee Thornton Jr., 74, will be held at a later date. Thornton died April 17. He worked for many years with Firestone and FedEx where he retired as an electronics technician. He served as alderman for the city of Byhalia. He leaves his wife, Patricia M. Thornton; daughter, Terrie Thornton Durr; two sons, Chris Thornton and David Lee Thornton; sister, Patricia Leah Sandlin; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
