HORN LAKE — Ruby B. Doctor, retired underwriter for Lipscomb & Pitts, was born Jan. 1, 1935 in Olympia, Wash. and died April 26 at Golden Living Center. She was a founding member of Cornerstone Church in Southaven and was active in the church Prison Ministry. She leaves one daughter, Vicky L. Docter of Memphis; two sons, Alfred C. Docter, Jr. (Sandra_ of Leland, David E. Docter (Lori) of Foley, Ala.; one sister, Bonnie M. White of Vancouver, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Heather Privett, Eddie Privett Jr., Kimberly Brooke Docter, Rachel Marie Docter, Amanda LeeAnn Dean, Amanda Taylor, Jeremy Malone; seven great grandchildren, Blade M. Privett, Zane D. Mortenson, Mason Taylor, Jenesis Armystrong, Sernity Malone, Meah Malone, and Jeremy Malone Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Alfred C. Docter Sr.; parents, Ruben and Mae Belle Gilleland; one brother, Alfred Louis Gilleland; one sister, Aretta Mae Gilleland; and one grandchild, Ruby Nicole Docter.
