HORN LAKE — The funeral service for Jerry Hughes, 66, former agent for Northwest Airlines, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 with visitation starting at noon at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Hughes was born April 3, 1947 in Bruce and died July 27 at his home. He was a Navy veteran and a Baptist He leaves his wife of 32 years, Cathy Pennington Hughes of Horn Lake; two sons, Glen Jewell (Sandy) of Covington, Tenn. and Dusty Hughes (Jennifer) of Southaven; one brother, William Hughes of Water Valley; two sisters, Martha Faye Griffin of Bruce, and Anita Howell of Statesboro, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Caleb Lambirth, Hunter Lambirth, Noah Jewell, Carli Jewell, all of Covington, Sarah Jewell of Hernando, Kalen Hughes, and Easton Hughes, both of Southaven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth Hughes and one brother, Truman Cantrell Jr.
