WALLS — The funeral service for James L. “Jack” Edwards, 80, retired Captain of the Memphis Fire Department, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. He was also a retired DeSoto County Fire Inspector and member of The Church at Lake Forest. He leaves his wife Evelyn and his little dog Honda; two sons, Steve (Tammy) and Bill (Cynthia); three grandchildren, April (Louie) Edwards, Zach (Stacie) Edwards, and Kyle ((Nancy) Edwards; a great-grandson, Blake; and one little girl, Lacie Ann, on the way; several nieces and nephews. He was their Uncle Jack who taught them to ski, swim, and some of them to ride motorcycles. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was always doing fund-raisers for them.
