SOUTHAVEN — The funeral service for Mary Frances Ashmore Jarvis, 97, was Monday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with interment in Memphis Memory Gardens. Jarvis died Jan. 12 at Hermitage Gardens in Southaven. She was born Sept. 17, 1915. She was a charter member of Hope Baptist Church in Olive Branch. She enjoyed sewing, singing, music, attending church and ballroom dancing. She leaves three daughters, Barbara Jordan Johnson (Michael), Lynn Jarvis Shettles, and Bobbye Jarvis Bailey (Donald); two sisters, Evelyn Henry and Clara Smith; three grandchildren, Karlin Bailey, Jai Parker, and Kenny Parker; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee "Bob" Jarvis; parents, Rev. Silas Ashmore and Ethel Mae Ashmore; twin brother, James Marion Ashmore; brother, Samuel Hyatt Ashmore; and two sisters, Sudie Ashmore Coulter and Myrtle Ashmore Tutor.
