SOUTHAVEN — The funeral service for Marjorie Ann Norwood Barner, 85, was Wednesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with interment in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Barner was born in Greenwood and was the widow of James Houston “Bunkie” Barner Jr. she was a member of Oxford-University United Methodist and was retired from Internal Medicine of Oxford where she was an office manager for many years. She loved traveling with her husband, often times driving cross country. She leaves a daughter, Nancy Brock (Buddy) of Crystal Springs, Patricia Flynn (Benny) of Hernando, Donna Barner McWilliams (Andy) of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Cathy Hendrix (Jeff of Pontotoc; one son, Jim Barner (Linda) of Bend, Or.; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
