Moore died Aug. 9 at Bright Glade Convalescent Center. She was retired from Boulevard Baptist Church in Southaven as a secretary. She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Moore. She leaves two sons: George D. (Melanie) and David T. Moore, one sister, Mary Burnett and brother, Thomas Avent (Delsie), also one granddaughter, Ashley Moore.

HERNANDO — The funeral service for Prentiss “Eddie” Treet Jr., 54, will be at 2 p.m. today at Parkway Baptist Church with visitation from 1 p.m. The interment service will be a Hernando Memorial Park Cemetery. Treet was born Oct. 2, 1958 and died Aug. 7 after a long illness. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was employed by FedEx. He enjoyed woodwork, hunting, fishing. He leaves his parents, Evelyn C. Kinstley and Prentiss E. Treet Sr.; his wife, Sheri; four daughters, Michelle Cummings (Tyler), Rachel Allen (Eric), Amanda and Sarah; two grandchildren, Conner and Bettie Cummings; sister, Cynthia Mabry (Bob); brothers, Dewayne Treet (Susan) and Billy Kinstley; brothers-in-law, Stan Taylor and Robert Brown. Hernando Funeral home has charge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Steadman. She leaves her children: Wayne Steadman (Karon) of Hernando, Robert Steadman of Nesbit and Shelia McBroom (Todd) of Lafayette, La., seven grandchildren: Stephanie Williams (Luke), Michael, Greg and Steve Steadman, Beaux, Matt and Jake McBroom and one great-granddaughter, McKenzie Grace Williams; also one sister, Linda Sue Hurst (Charlie).

Joyner died Aug. 8 in Memphis. He leaves his wife, Celestine Joyner; daughters, Lataunya Robinzine of Southaven; sons, Travis Buck of Byhalia; sisters, Barbara Morgan-Hazel of Ill., Diane Ward of Coldwater; brothers, Wayne Carr of Holly Springs and Tyrone Carr of Coldwater; five grandchildren.

HERNANDO — The funeral service for Kathi Spencer, 59, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Spencer was born Nov. 12, 1953 in Alexandria, La. and died Aug. 12 at Baptist-Memphis. In 1975, she and her husband were stationed in the Philippines where she helped with Operation Babylift. She was a sales representative assistant for FPS Company in Memphis for 26 years and was a Methodist. She leaves her husband of 41 years, George Spencer of Hernando; two daughters, Kim Jones (Rusty) of Walls and Shelby Dixon (David) of Hernando; ten grandchildren, Colin Edwards, Joshua and Aidan Jones, Brent and Sean Dixon, and Kerry, Jr., Jordan, Alyssa, Jacob, and Madeline Spencer; and her "baby" Hollie Noel. She was preceded in death by her son, Kerry Spencer. The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society for Rhabdomyosarcoma Research.

ARAB, Ala. — The graveside service for Martha Wayne Reed, 80, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with visitation Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando. Reed died Aug. 12 in Marshall Medical Center North. She was born Oct. 28, 1932 in Memphis to Amos and Martha E. Franks. She was a previous resident of Huntsville, but called Arab her home since 2007. She was retired from River Line Barge and Shipping Company in accounting. She was a member of Faith Rock Baptist Church. She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Vincent L. and Cathy Reed of Arab, Clayton P. and Robin Reed of Nesbit; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Martha Franks, David and Betty Franks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Patrick Reed, her parents, Amos and Martha Franks, brother, Ross Franks; sister, Joy Collier.

LEBANON, Tenn. — The funeral service for Wilma Kathleen McCoy Stovall, 86, will be at 1 p.m. today at Partlow Funeral Chapel in Lebanon with visitation starting at 11 a.m. Stovall died Aug. 19. She was the daughter of the late Edda Ruth Lawson McCoy and William T. McCoy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Woody Stovall. She leaves three children, Lynn Stovall Murley (John) of Southaven, Carol Stovall McCauley (Vic) of Murfreesboro, and Paul Woody Stovall (Lesa) of Lebanon; six grandchildren, John (Sherry) Murley of Hernando, Laura Murley (Robert) Long of Hernando, Spence (Farah) Oliver of Austin, Texas, Emily Oliver (Daniel) Erspamer of Murfreesboro, Brianna Stovall and Brady Stovall both of Lebanon; and six great grandchildren. Southern Manor Assisted Living provided kind and loving care. Born on Aug. 27, 1926 in Hickman County and grew up in Madison. She was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1943 at Isaac Litton High School. She attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville when it was a two-year school, Harding College in Searcy, Ark., and Memphis State University. She completed her Bachelors' degree at Lipscomb many years after she started college there, and received her Master's in Education at Tennessee Tech. She taught elementary school in Shelby County, Trousdale County, Wilson County, and Ft. Worth, Texas, as well as high school in Arkansas. She was a member of Maple Hill Church of Christ in Lebanon. Bro. Joe Widick and Bro. Tim Parish will officiate the services. Active pallbearers, grandsons, sons-in-law, and Dondi Malone. Honorary pallbearers will be former students and co-workers. Interment, Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to, Maple Hill Church of Christ, Friendship Christian School, or Lipscomb University.

HORN LAKE — The memorial service for Robert Kendall “Ken” Lamkin, 42, will be at 4 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Memphis with visitation stating at 3 p.m. Lamkin was born Oct. 5, 1940 in Leland and died Aug. 11 in Orange Beach, Ala. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Alpha Chi National Collegiate Honor Society.  He had been a manager for Caterpillar Logistics and a former teacher at White Station Middle School, Raleigh Egypt Middle School, and Cordova Middle School. He leaves his wife, Dayna Jan Lamkin of Horn Lake; one son, Robert Evan Lamkin of Horn Lake; one stepson, John Tyler Hayes of Memphis;  mother, Mary Lois Kendall; three brothers, Mark Lamkin, Lee Colby Lamkin, and Bobby Burns; two sisters, Danette R. Lamkin and Tiffany Edwards; grandparents, James and Mary Dew of Star City, Ark.; and his cousin, John West. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Eddie Lamkin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brother Reed Caldwell. She leaves three children, Mary Anne Caldwell, Barry Caldwell (Tara), and Bonnie Caldwell; four grandchildren, Amber Caldwell, Kara Caldwell, Benjamin Lee Tutt IV, and Taylor Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked for Home Depot for 12 years and was a volunteer with Parents Educating Parents of Mississippi where she helped parents of children with disabilities. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Livingston. She leaves her husband of 45 years, Glen Livingston; two daughters, Cary Livingston and Tina Mallinckrodt; three sons, Bruce Livingston, Michael Livingston, and Brian Livingston; sister, Sylvia Novak; brother, David Sullivan; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
