Troy Bishop Griffin

SOUTHAVEN — The memorial service for Troy Bishop Griffin, 62, will be at noon Saturday at Moorhead Baptist Church in Moorhead. Committal of ashes will follow in Moorhead Cemetery followed by a reception at the church. Arrangements are in care of Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Griffin, formerly of Indianola, died Nov. 25 at DeSoto Healthcare Center. He was born in Greenville to Troy and Josephine Moore Griffin and graduated from Inverness High School in 1969, then attended Mississippi Delta Junior College. He started Griffin Furniture Refinishing and Upholstery business. He was an officer in the Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club. He leaves by a son, Bryce Griffin (Jan) of Hernando, a daughter Paige Griffin Doyle (George) of Georgetown, S.C., a daughter Leah Ivey (Benjamin) of Brandon, and a son Preston Griffin; three brothers, Maxwell Gene “Bud” Griffin (Judy) of Fair Hope, Ala., Billy Ray Griffin (Pat) of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Benny Griffin (Sherry) of Baton Rouge, La.; two granddaughters and four grandsons. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Stansel Griffin.
